History

2021: HP Inc. bought Teradici

In late July 2021, HP Inc. announced the acquisition of Teradici, which provides remote access software for high-performance cloud computing capabilities from any PC, Mac, Chromebook, or tablet. The financial terms of the transaction are not disclosed.

HP Inc. said the deal will allow the PC and printer company to provide "new computing models and services tailored for hybrid operation." HP Inc. also noted that remote access-enabled software is a "large and ever-growing segment" that is projected to grow 17% annually through 2028. HP Inc. expects the hybrid work model to allow 67% of staff to work remotely for at least three days a week.

HP Inc. already has Central Remote Boost software that simplifies remote and hybrid operations by providing specialists with remote access to physical workstations. An additional set of capabilities from Teradici, focused on cloud systems and virtual workstations, will improve the line of HP Inc. solutions for remote operation.[1]
